ODISSEI and the Netherlands eScience Center work together to provide researchers with in-kind support to execute their innovative social science research projects. They do this through the annual award of ODISSEI eScience Grants. The second Call for proposal is currently open.
The ODISSEI eScience Grant is intended for social scientists who want to apply digital techniques in their research and need technical support in doing so. In total, funding for five projects is available. Each will have access to three months of in-kind support by Research Software Engineers of the eScience Center. Proposals that utilise ODISSEI facilities are strongly encouraged. The grant can be applied for by scholars who work at an ODISSEI member organisation.
In preparation for the Call, eScience Center and ODISSEI organise an information event on June 14 (13.00-15.00). During the meeting, potential applicants can learn more about eScience Center, the type of research software expertise eScience Center colleagues can apply in the research projects, and the Call procedure. Examples of projects that were awarded in the last year’s Call will also be given.
The 2021 call awarded five projects, for more information on the projects, please see here.
If you want to stay informed about the next call for eScience Grants, please sign up for the ODISSEI newsletter. Those who could use help to think through if their research plans would fit an eScience Grant, or if other ways of support are available, are encouraged to contact the ODISSEI Social Data Science Team.
