The 2022 round of the Microdata Access Grant (MAG) call is now open. The MAG offers financing of research projects using CBS microdata. Every year the ODISSEI Microdata Access Grant (MAG) provides researchers employed at an ODISSEI member organisation with free CBS microdata access for new research projects. Early career researchers in particular are invited to submit their proposal.
Researchers who receive the grant will be able to execute a CBS microdata project of up to €7.500, which covers a project with two researchers, for a time of six months and with access to ca. ten datasets (see the CBS microdata catalogue). A total of six projects will be awarded.
Who can apply?
Every researcher affiliated with one of the ODISSEI member organisations can apply for the Microdata Access Grant.
When can you apply?
The application must be submitted no later than 10 May 2022, 15:00 CE(S)T. The project should start in the second half of 2022. After submission your proposal will be checked for eligibility and then reviewed by an independent and interdisciplinary committee. We aim at announcing the award decision by 15 July 2022.
CBS Microdata Information Event
Would you like more information on the possibilities of working with CBS microdata? On Tuesday, 5 April 2022 from 14:00 to 16:00, ODISSEI is organising a Microdata Information Event, where you can also find out more about using CBS Microdata. During this event, a variety of speakers will give an introduction to researchers who want to work with microdata, both those who are considering applying for the Microdata Access Grant and those who do not wish to apply now, but who want to hear more about working with CBS microdata. Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Questions about the grant application procedure can be posed in the general Q&A at the end of the programme.
