The results of the second round of the Microdata Access Grant (MAG 2024-2) have been announced. This round, we have received 22 applications that were evaluated by the interdisciplinary committee. In total, 6 top scoring proposals have been awarded free access to microdata. The grant of € 7,500 is sufficient for running your microdata project with typically 1-2 active researchers and a duration of up to 12 months.
We are very excited to see the wide range of topics being tackled in the projects awarded in this round. Successful applicants will study the health effects of air pollution in the Netherlands, zoom in on societal segregation, evaluate the factors contributing to increased employability of Dutch graduates, and study life with dementia. The studies will implement complex analyses and, in some cases, use the ODISSEI Secure Analysis (OSSC) to boost the computational power needed to complete strenuous calculations. For an overview of all awarded projects, please see here.
Do you have a research idea that you would like to execute with the CBS microdata? In February, we will open a new round of the Microdata Access Call (2025-1), with the closing at the end of March. Is it too early to develop the idea? The next opportunity to apply for the grant will be offered later this year. Similarly to last year, ODISSEI aims to hold two rounds of the MAG Call in 2025. Early career researchers are welcome to apply for the grant.
