Melanie Imming (Independent Consultant)

Melanie Imming is an independent consultant with years of experience helping leading cultural and academic organisations develop their strategy around topics including Digital Preservation, Digital Cultural Heritage, Open Science and FAIR data. She is involved in different expert groups and networks. These include the scientific committee of OPERAS (the Research Infrastructure supporting open scholarly communication in the social sciences and humanities) and the Netherlands National Programme Open Science as a representative for SURF. For SURF she also authored the report FAIR Data Advanced Use Cases: from principles to practice in the Netherlands which included ODISSEI as one of the use cases. Melanie firmly believes in the power of sharing best practices to accelerate open science. She has an MA in History/Political Sciences.
