ODISSEI is hosting its next live conference in Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, on 24 November 2026. ODISSEI, the research infrastructure for social science in the Netherlands, connects researchers with the necessary data, expertise, and resources to conduct ground-breaking research and embrace the computational turn in social enquiry.

2026 marks ODISSEI’s 10th anniversary. As such, this is an opportunity to reflect on a decade of progress, celebrate what has been built together, and look ahead to the next chapter of computational social science. The topics of the conference will be:

• Reflections, lessons, and future directions on a decade of social science infrastructure in the Netherlands, including cross-national and international perspectives on open data
• Social science research utilising ODISSEI infrastructure (CBS Microdata, LISS panel, OSSC, or SANE)
• Computational methods and theory in social science research, including agent-based modelling, network analysis, textual analysis, machine learning, LLMs, and high-performance computing
• Causal inference, bias, inclusivity, and ethical and legal considerations in Computational Social Science
• The use of computational methods and new technologies to inform policy and address inequalities

During the conference, we seek to bring together a community of computational social scientists to discuss data, methods, infrastructure, policy application, ethics, and theoretical work related to digital and computational approaches in social science research.
