Free registration of new users for ODISSEI member organisations

ODISSEI member organisations can request free authentication for early-career researchers to be able to join an existing CBS microdata project. The authorised researcher must be an early-career researcher (PhD student or postdoctoral researcher) and comply with the CBS eligibility requirements.

How to get the waiver on the authorisation fee

To apply, project managers of a CBS microdata project are required to submit their request via the CBS self service portal

In this self-service system, they need to add a researcher in question to their project, and then request the discount on the authorisation, via the “Add service” button. Proof of ODISSEI membership (a screenshot of the ODISSEI website listing the organisation where the applicant is employed) is the final step in this application process.  Once accepted, the researcher will be authorised free of charge. NB: monthly charges for active use of the CSB microdata still apply.

The programme is ongoing, and project leaders can apply at any time. Discounts will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Currently, the budget allows for free-of-charge authorisation for 50 researchers per year.
