As from the pilot year 2019, the ODISSEI Microdata Access Grant (MAG) will annually provide five researchers working at an ODISSEI participant with free access to CBS Microdata. Novice researchers in particular are invited to submit their MAG proposals.
The grant applies to projects carried out by ODISSEI participants within their own research program, as is the case for first and second flow research and research funded by the European Commission. The main applicant needs to be employed by an ODISSEI participant.
There is budget available for free access to Microdata for five projects. The budget of € 8,000 per project (maximum) will typically cover a project by two researchers, with a duration of six months and access to approximately ten datasets from the CBS data catalogue.
Proposals should typically be 3-5 pages long and can be submitted via an online form. Proposals must be written in English, contain a short CV with main publications of the researcher(s), be specific about requested Microdata and contain the research questions and a scientific motivation.
An assessment committee will evaluate the proposals based on the following criteria:
- Originality and incremental value (40%)
- Relationship to the literature (20%)
- Methodology (20%)
- Implications for research, practice, and/or society (20%)
The application must be submitted no later than 30 April 2019. The project should start in the second half of 2019.
The full guidelines are not available anymore. We look forward to receiving your proposal!
