ODISSEI Lecture: ODISSEI Code Library

On 29 February 2024 from 12.00 to 13.00 hours, the next ODISSEI Lecture on ODISSEI Code Library will take place. Click here for the registration.

Abstract.

Sharing analytical code as a part of scientific publication enhances trust by allowing scrutiny and replication of results, promoting collaborative learning. However, shared code is often difficult to find for other researchers. At ODISSEI, we started building a library of analytical code used in studies using LISS data or CBS microdata to make them easier to retrieve and reuse. For each project, next to the link to the code, we provide the link to the paper and, when available, a DOI directly pointing to the dataset used.

ODISSEI’s data manager, Angelica Maineri, will talk about building the ODISSEI Code Library and its contribution to open knowledge. She will illustrate what developments such effort could enable in connection with other ODISSEI facilities, and also use the opportunity to promote good practices with code sharing.

The ODISSEI Lectures highlight methodological issues and innovations in Social Science.
