Request an ODISSEI presentation

ODISSEI aims to assist social scientists in embracing the computational turn, by offering grants, discounts and computational research support. Researchers working at ODISSEI member organisations can make use of all ODISSEI facilities, but there are still individual researchers who are not yet aware of all the possibilities. Therefore the ODISSEI Coordination Team is happy to visit your faculty, department, research group or seminar, to present ODISSEI and its facilities for researchers. This can range from a one hour online meeting with time for a presentation and a Q&A, to an on-site visit that may be more elaborately tailored to your wishes.

An ODISSEI visit can also include a more practical support session by our Social Data Science (SoDa) Team — the ODISSEI team of data scientists and research engineers that helps researchers answer their computational research questions. During such a hands-on session, the SoDa team can assist PhD candidates, postdocs and professors on the use of data science methods in their research. They can help at a low level suggesting software and debugging code; and at a higher level exchanging ideas on which data sources are available, what methods to use, and how to visualise and interpret their results. The SoDa team can also provide longer-term support.

Is your organisation not yet a member of ODISSEI? Do get in touch with us to hear more about ODISSEI and its facilities. Organisations who consider becoming a member are warmly invited to request a presentation to hear more about everything that ODISSEI offers to researchers and the field of social science.
