With pleasure the Board of the NWO Domain Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) invites researchers and others interested for its first Synergy Conference: ‘Creating common ground for the social sciences and humanities’ on 16 November 2017 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. One of the parallel sessions will be given by ODISSEI chairman Pearl Dysktra.
The NWO Domain SSH, launched on 1 January 2017, supports all the research disciplines within the social sciences and humanities. The new structure offers opportunities for inspiring new networks and collaboration as well as new directions for policy and strategy.
The programme offers opportunities to become acquainted with members of the Board of NWO Domain SSH and share ideas about topical issues in parallel sessions. How do we assess applicants and proposals from more than 40 research areas within one domain? How do we improve effectiveness and success rates in assessing and selecting applications? Please join us to discuss this on 16 November.
The programme includes a keynote lecture by Prof. Chad Gaffield, distinguished University Professor at the University of Ottawa in Canada and former President of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
At the end of the day, Prof. Stan Gielen, Prsident of the NWO Executive Board will join us to bring the day to a close. English will be the official language.
